Women's Insanity Group Fitness class at the UREC Fitness Center in the Arkansas Union 

 Combining Yoga and Pilates in this mind/body class, you will use a variety of equipment and your own body weight to gain body awareness, flexibility and strength in this unique workout.

This class gently awakens mind and body with stretches and postures to open the heart and muscles. This flow yoga class begins with sun salutations and ends with gentle stretching.

This class works to develop the physical body with strength, stamina, and flexibility; the emotional body with stability, confidence, and discernment; the mental body with awareness, concentration, and focus. The result is physical, emotional, and mental tranquility, enabling one to completely relax while feeling strong, confident, and aware. Focus on waking up from the inside out.

Enjoy this upbeat dance fitness class with choreographed moves to pop and hip hop music. Allow yourself to relax and take the fun factor up a notch with super-hot moves and great new music that will have everyone wanting more. No Dance experience required.

Love to dance? This class, inspired by traditional cumbia, salsa, cha-cha, samba, reggaeton, and meringue music is a fun and effective way to improve your cardiovascular fitness. This class pairs pulsating Latin rhythms with red hot dance steps. Fun for all fitness levels.

Get ready for this high-energy, low impact workout on our computerized indoor Matrix bikes. Combine an intense calorie burn with an electric group atmosphere to experience an incredible cardiovascular workout. This workout is both safe and fun for all ability levels.

Become triple fit with this class that incorporates cardiovascular training, resistance training, and abs all in one. This fun and energizing class will not only improve your cardiovascular endurance, but also your flexibility and core strength.

Come sculpt, tone, and align your entire body at the barre. This full body workout will fuse elements of Pilates, ballet, yoga and functional training for a fun and uplifting workout.

Kickboxing is a group fitness class that combines martial arts techniques with fast-paced cardio. This high-energy workout challenges the beginner and elite athlete alike. Build stamina, improve coordination and flexibility, and burn calories as you build lean muscle with this fun and challenging workout.

 

Bypass the crowded gym for a workout that utilizes various types of resistance equipment to sculpt your body and increase your strength and muscular endurance. This class will leave you with your muscles worked and your body strong.

This workout will increase your core strength by going through a series of exercises on the pool deck.

This cardio conditioning class incorporates lap swim, kicking, water running, and water weights. Basic swimming skills are required. 

UREC encourages U of A faculty/staff to become more active by offering a weekly fitness class just for faculty/staff. The class format will vary from week to week and will include Zumba, Yoga, Pilates Fusion, Body Sculpt, Total Body Conditioning,  and Triple Fit. A UREC membership is not required to participate. Simply bring your U of A ID, a towel, water bottle, comfortable exercise apparel, and non-marking shoes. Free locker storage for valuables is provided. No Faculty/Staff FIT classes are being offered at the time. Faculty/staff are encouraged to check out our group fitness schedule and attend any of our class offerings.
