The University of Arkansas is excited to welcome students and the campus community back to the renovated HPER Building on Monday, Aug. 18 — just in time for the first day of the fall semester!

After more than a year of extensive renovations, the refreshed facility now offers over 22,000 square feet of brand-new fitness space, including state-of-the-art equipment, turf training zones, and modernized amenities designed to elevate every experience.

After more than a year of extensive renovations, you’ll now enjoy:

22,000 sq. ft. of brand-new fitness space with state-of-the-art equipment
Turf training zones and modernized amenities
Improved locker rooms – with locker purchase options available
Streamlined entry through turnstiles (scan your University ID or use the barcode in the UREC Arkansas app)
Pool access through the second-floor locker room area (no more Meadow Street entrance!)

Getting Here

The HPER Building now has two entrances:

Barnhill Drive (across from Meadow Street Parking Garage)
Stadium Drive

Before We Open
From Aug. 11–17, some equipment in HPER Gym 1 will be unavailable as we make final preparations. First-floor equipment, gymnasiums, UREC Outdoors, and other services will still be open.
