We are excited you are coming to play at the University of Arkansas. Below are some resources to help you get around our beautiful city.
The UREC Sports Complex is located at 1486 Mitchell Street, Fayetteville, AR, 72701.
Restrooms are present inside this facility. We will also provide water for the athletes, but please bring your own water bottle to refill as we will not be providing cups.
As of October 2017 we have brand new artificial turf fields at the Mitchell Street Complex. We are very excited to have such new facilities but we do have some restrictions on their usage:
- ONLY water and sports drinks (Gatorade, Powerade) are allowed on the field
- No dogs or other animals
- No food
- No gum
- No metal cleats
- No chairs, tents etc. on the turf or sod
- All participants and spectators must stay OFF of the sod until further notice
- All bikes, skateboards etc. cannot enter the complex
- Goals, equipment etc. cannot be dragged across the field as they must be fully lifted off the ground and carried
The main parking lot for the UREC Sports Complex is Lot 46. Just across Razorback Road is Lot 60, and Lot 56 to the southeast are also available. During basketball season and other events, there are restrictions to the parking. Please note the parking maps below.
We will have an athletic trainer at any home event that occurs at the UREC Sports Complex or in the HPER Building. They will arrive to the game 30 minutes early for preventative wrapping/care. Please provide your own supplies for this service. Athletic trainers may also provide First Aid, injury evaluation, and ice for after games or matches.
There are many great places to eat and visit while you're in the area. Take a look at some of what to do in Fayetteville during your stay.
Just south of the complex is MLK Boulevard where you may find an assortment of restaurants and hotels. Dickson Street is a very popular destination for food and entertainment as well. Shopping may be found along East Joyce to the north.
Those interested in capturing photo or video of a UREC event, including Club Sports, may request a media pass by e-mailing email@example.com and obtaining written permission. A request must include the event name or reason for capturing footage, the date and time when it will take place, as well as the organization which the individual seeking to check out the pass represents and their reason for requesting a media pass.
To pick up a media pass, the interested party must then visit the UREC Main Office in HPER 225 to check out the media pass. At this time, you must show proof of written permission from the Marketing Office or UREC Administration. Requests should be made during business hours from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday - Friday for a timely response.
Media passes must be immediately returned to the UREC Main Office once the event has finished, unless the Main Office is closed. In this case, the pass may be returned the next day that the Main Office is open.
