Aquatics

The UREC Pool will be CLOSED July 10, 2026 - August 17, 2026 for maintenance. It will reopen on August 18,2026. 

The UREC pool offers space for lap swimming, aquatic fitness classes, and swim lessons.  This Olympic-sized pool offers short- and long-course lap swim sessions, a shallow area for lessons and leisure use, and a diving well with 1, 3, and 5-meter boards.  University of Arkansas students and UREC members can utilize the pool for open swim, as well as register for a variety of structured programs including swim lessons.

Aquatics Programs

Swim Lessons

University Recreation + Wellness offers private swim lessons for adults and children five years and older. Classes focus on swimming basics including breathing, floating, gliding, basic strokes, and water safety skills.

Lifeguard Certification

American Red Cross Lifeguard certification courses are available during the Spring semesters.
