Ballroom Dance

 

To join the club simply attend one of our practices, fill out a short waiver, and bring your dues the following class. No partner is necessary to become a member. Beginners, as well as, experienced dancers are welcome.

The Social Class meets on Thursday evenings in HPER 216 from7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. This is the beginner class. It is perfect for anyone new or just started learning ballroom dance. Members are welcome to come with or without a partner as dancers will alternate partners throughout the class.

The Advanced class meets on Monday evenings in HPER 216 from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. This advanced class is taught by instructor, Brandy Gillam Bangs. This class trains dancers in competition patterns and steps. 

The club also meets on Sunday nights in HPER 216 from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Club members have traveled to competition and successfully earned 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at the levels of silver, bronze and newcomer dance at both regional and national competitions. Ballroom is also Club of the Year for the academic year of '17-'18.

The primary coach for the Ballroom Dance Club is Brandy Gillam Bangs (Coach). She is being assisted by a junior coach and former club member Caity Malloy (Coach).
