Jonathan graduated from the University of Alabama in December of 2002 with a Bachelor's of Social Work degree with a concentration in administrative social work. After graduation Jonathan moved to Austin, TX and completed his Master of Social Work in Administration & Planning at The University of Texas in Austin in May 2005. While completing his Master's degree he integrated himself within the Division of Recreational Sports and became a Supervisor for Intramural Sports which cultivated an interest in pursuing a career in campus recreation.
Upon his graduation from The University of Texas at Austin, Jonathan served as the Intramural Sports Intern at NC State University and completed his one-year internship in June 2006. In July 2006, he was named the Sport Clubs Coordinator at Texas Tech University and was promoted to Assistant Director of Sport Clubs in April 2007 where he served until May 2013. In June 2013 he made his return to The University of Texas at Austin as the Assistant Director of Sport Clubs and served in this position until August 2015.
Jonathan is an active member of NIRSA, Leaders in Collegiate Recreation, serving on several work teams and volunteering at multiple NIRSA Championship Series events.
