Krav Maga Self Defense

Krav Maga is an excellent self-defense course that incorporates hand-to-hand combat techniques without requiring prior experience or training.

Krav Maga is a popular self-defense method that incorporates hand-to-hand combat techniques developed by the Israeli Military.  This 8-week beginner’s class will cover self-defense against a wide array of attacks such as chokes, bear hugs, and shirt grabs.  No experience or prior training is required.  Interested, but not sure if the class is for you?  The first class session is a free demo class where participants can meet the instructor and get a class preview.    

Dates and Times:  

Session 1: February 14 - April 11*

Class Days/Times:  Tuesdays; 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

*no class March 21


Session 2: February 17 - April 21*

Class Days/Times:  Fridays; 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

*no class March 17 or March 24

Cost:  $40 U of A students; $55 UREC members; $70 eligible non-members

Location:  HPER 216

To register, visit the UREC Main Office, HPER 225, or register online at UREC Member Services. Only U of A students and faculty/staff are able to register online. Eligible participants include U of A students, UREC members, and eligible non-members with an active U of A affiliation. Eligible non-members include current faculty/staff or current Arkansas Alumni Association members, as well as spouses/partners. 

Cancellation Policy: Two business days notification is required to cancel enrollment and receive a refund or transfer enrollment to another class. If the participant does not attend the class in which they enrolled, or fails to cancel enrollment within two business days of the class, payment is forfeited. A $25.00 administrative fee is charged if enrollment is canceled, assessed through $25.00 less the amount of refund.
