UREC Aquatics & Community Programs
University Recreation offers many unique and fun Instructional Programs each semester. From dancing and martial arts, to massage and swimming, we try to offer something for everyone!
Instructional Programs are a great way for students and UREC members to learn a new skill, refine skills, and meet new people!
Pre-registration for Instructional Programs is required, and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration can be done in person at the UREC Office (HPER 225). The UREC Office is open Monday-Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, and Sunday 1-5pm. Students and faculty/staff can register online at https://urecmembers.uark.edu/.
Instructional Programs are open to students, UREC members, and non-members with an active U of A affiliation (current faculty, staff or Arkansas Alumni Association members).
Red Cross Certification Classes
Red Cross Certification Classes, such as Lifeguard Training and CPR/First Aid/AED, are open to registraton by the general public.
Two business days notification is required to cancel enrollment and receive a refund or transfer enrollment to another class. If the participant does not attend the class in which they enrolled, or fails to cancel enrollment within two business days of the class, payment is forfeited.
A $25 administrative fee is charged if enrollment is canceled. This fee will be assessed through $25 less the amount of refund. Red Cross classes have a separate cancellation policy detailed in the program information.
There may be consideration of refunds in the case of extenuating circumstances such as injury or illness. These will be considered on a case by case basis.
