Packages and Pricing
Sessions involve one-on-one consultation and exercise with a trainer certified by an approved national organization. Unless otherwise specified, all sessions are one hour and cannot be split into smaller time increments. Prices listed below are for individuals. Sessions and packages may be shared between two individuals for 1.5 times the price listed for individuals. Sessions and packages cannot be shared by more than two individuals.
Individual Sessions, Personal Training and Mind/Body Formats
One-hour sessions that can be purchased at any increment, ten or more sessions receives a free session. Participants wishing to incorporate fitness assessments into their training sessions may utilize sessions as assessments when necessary. Every client must complete a fitness assessment before engaging in a training session, to ensure safety and help the trainer create the most appropriate workout plan to fit the participant's goals. All sessions must be used within six months, and unused sessions may not be refunded or transferred.

Assessment Plus
Fitness assessments address any health related concerns and set forth goals to start new exercise programs. Physiological testing is also done to determine baseline measurements, identify areas for improvement, assess progression, and educate the client. The following software is used to perform fitness assessments:
MicroFit: Tests seven dimensions of fitness including weight, heart rate, blood pressure, body composition, cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, and flexibility.
Korr Meta-check: This metabolic testing software measures resting metabolic rate, caloric output based on lifestyle and daily activity, as well as energy/calorie expenditure during exercise. This assessment is useful in determining an individual’s unique caloric needs and nutrition planning.
What to do on the day of your assessment:
Do not exercise or consume caffeine prior to your assessment. Do not consume an alcoholic beverage within 12 hours prior to your assessment. Water should be consumed throughout the day. Wear comfortable clothing such as athletic shorts and a sports bra. The trainer will need access to skin on the thigh, tricep, hip, and midriff for body composition testing.

Nutrition Assessments
Learning about proper nutrition can not only enhance workout goals, but overall wellness. Participants receive an initial modified fitness assessment, then record food logs and discuss them with UREC staff during a follow-up visit.

Fitness Center Orientation
Fitness Center Orientations are one-time sessions designed to introduce new users to the equipment available in the Fitness Center. A staff member will demonstrate how to properly use cardio machines and weight equipment, and can answer specific exercise questions. Orientations are not designed to prescribe exercise plans, but rather to assist participants with proper equipment use and fitting. Orientations are complimentary, however, participants must still register for an appointment.
Private Small Group Training
Specialized private training sessions for your own group of 3-6 people lead by a personal trainer. These private group sessions allow groups to pick the specific type of workout they want to execute, while getting the individualized attention needed for guidance and motivation. Each group must purchase a minimum of 3 sessions at a time. Each session is $10 per person and must be paid in full when purchasing of sessions.
